Got some awesome hand-me-downs from my mom. She used to work an an accessory store in the 80’s, so she has all these scarves and things from when she worked there. She gave me seven Units, which were belt/tube top things that you could wear as a cowl scarf, crop top, pencil skirt, belt or whatever. Three are pictured above, (b&w stripe, b&w print and teal floral print) and the two I’m wearing below with a skirt from Forever 21 and my teal jeans from my friend Sarah, available at Macy’s. In the first picture above are belts my mom got from Mexico, which i plan to wear with sundresses. Isn’t this just the coolest thing? Please excuse my tired appearance, I’m packing to go to Brooklyn on Friday with my friends.

The Metropolitan Museum of Art
I was looking through a bunch of old family pictures and I found a bunch from my parents honeymoon. They were taken in Mexico in 1990. Look at all this horrendous 80’s/90’s fashion. If you didn’t tell anyone, these look like they could have been taken recently.
Made another mix! It’s called “I Can’t Believe it’s not 80’s!” and it features a bunch of remixes and songs that sound like 80’s pop, dance and funk music. Ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-ch-check it out!

Somebody That I Used to Know- Gotye
I’ve had this song on repeat all week. Such a beautiful sadness. Sounds like a one hit wonder from the 80’s.
Is It A Crime- Sade
“It may come, it may come as some surprise
but I miss you
I could see through, all of your lies
But I still miss you
Is it a crime
Is it a crime
That I still want you
And I want you to want me too
My love is wider, wider than Victoria lake
My love is taller, taller than the empire state
It dives and it jumps and it ripples like the deepest ocean
I can’t give you more than that, surely you want me back “
Spellbound - Siouxsie and The Banshees
This was featured at the end of True Blood, Episode 4
What I Am- Edie Brickell & New Bohemians
“Philosophy is a talk on a cereal box.
Religion is a smile on a dog.
I’m not aware of too many things,
I know what I know if you know what I mean.
Chuck me in the shallow water before I get too deep.”
