He was interesting, intimidating.
A long forgotten desert slept on his cheek.
Behind his eyes
lay emerald fields of grass separated
by a rolling sea.
I looked into them and thought
and I have never left home.

Meet Sasha!

I made the pattern for the doll itself and her clothes by myself. She was originally supposed to be a self portrait doll but she ended up not really resembling me. Her clothes are replicas of things I have in my wardrobe!

The first picture looks better if you click to zoom in on it. My camera made the texture of the fabric look weird for some reason.

She’s wearing a top that I hand stitched beads onto, a skirt with an underskirt, shoes drawn on with fabric marker, and an anklet made of lace and a button. The whites of her eyes were painted on with fabric paint and her cheeks and lips were done in watercolor. The rest of her face is done in Micron marker and fabric markers.

am going to make a lot more dolls in likenesses of people that I know, and maybe I’ll even sell them! I have two more dolls in the works.

A blog that reblogs Nature photography took one of my pictures and used it as their icon without asking permission. I’m pissed. I would have let them if they credited me and asked me first.
I will hunt them down and burn down their blog.

My self portrait screams, “I’m so done with painting class.”

“Eye” see you! 4x6, oil.

A card I drew for my friend Sarah’s birthday! She’s in the center having a tea party with the Adventure Time Princesses.

I wish I was a stream
Constant current
Meandering wherever I please
A showcase of ripples
and a chorus of quiet chimes
But the stream and I are more alike than I will ever know
Time can change the course of the stream
and so can man
In the end, we’re never the same from the start
but look untouched to those setting their eyes on us for the first time.

Happy New Year! A new year means lots of new pictures on my photoblog, check em out!

I got bored, so this happened. My cats and I in the artistic style of adventure time

First photo critique (Taken with Instagram)

Just some pictures of my room this semester. I moved in yesterday with the help of my wonderful mom, dad and my friend Justin who also lives on campus. I’m living in a suite with my roommate (who moves in today) and three other friends. We’ve got a living room, bathroom and storage closet! More pictures of the suite and my room when I get around to it! I swear I haven’t forgotten about you guys! <3

Back at school. :) (Taken with Instagram at Arcadia University)

For my dorm room.

Plants! I decided to get the two in the back and the one in the front on the right for my suite at school this semester to brighten it up. My parents went shopping this afternoon and bought me the other five… So now we’ll be up to our eyes in plants, and I’ll look like even more of a crazy old lady. While I was taking pictures outside, my cat wanted to show off.
